MAN 12th November 2013 - Monarch's A320 G-MONX departs to the USA for parting out.

Having served twenty and a half years with the airline, Monarch A320 G-MONX departed Manchester for the last time today, its destination was Tupelo, Mississippi (USA) where it will be parted out.
It is seen here a couple of days earlier in the basic colours with the titles and logos removed.

  1. I guess all good things must come to an end, monarch is trying to keep up with modern standards so eventually all of its older A300/20/21 aircraft and hopefully we will see an increase of their A320 SL aircraft that are all currently based in leeds, great picture nik. Also is there anything decent coming to MAN soon?

    1. Both A300's gone by March 2014 (G-MAJS in January) and 757's gone by the end of 2014. Monarch have 2 A321's with sharklets due and also 2 second hand A320 and 4 second hand A321's have been proposed :)

  2. Matthew, they only have two Sharklet A320's, one is currently LBA based and one is currently EMA based.
No idea what is due at MAN I am afraid, the only info comes day by day!

    1. Yeah they are. had the pleasure of flying on flying G-MONX last summer and had 9 flights on G-OZBB. G-MAJS leaves January, G-OJMR March and the 757's around this time next year :)

Also keep an eye out for G-OZBN. Will be the next Monarch A321 in the new colours followed by G-OJEG :)
