MAN 24th February 2012 - SAS 737-500 LN-BUD

SAS 737-500 LN-BUD made a rare visit late evening in their "non-standard" colour scheme.



MAN 23rd February 2012 - Transavia pair bring in the Ajax supporters.

Transavia flew the Ajax supporters over to watch their team play Manchester United in the Europa League, B737-800's PH-HZG and PH-HZK arrived mid morning and departed in the early hours of the 24th.



MAN 22nd February 2012 - Virgin A340 G-VFAR and Monarch A320 G-OOPP

Rolled out of Air Livery earlier in the day, Virgin Atlantic A340-300 G-VFAR was parked up on a rainy night..........

........... along with Monarch's 'new' A320 G-OOPP which will become G-OZBW when it enters service very soon.

MAN 21st February 2012 - SATA A310 CS-TGV arrives with a flock of birds !!

SATA A310 CS-TGV arrived with the Porto Football Team in miserable weather at lunchtime and was dodging a flock of birds on short finals!!

MAN 19th February 2012 - Bulgaria Air A320 LZ-FBD

Making it's first visit to Manchester today, operating for Balkan Holidays.

MAN 14th February 2012 - Thomson, Condor and Aer Lingus at night.

Thomson Airways had their newest 737-800 (G-TAWC) delivered to Manchester this morning, seen here parked up overnight on stand 82.



Condor 757-300 D-ABOL arrived for maintenance earlier in the day.....

...... and Aer Lingus used their recently painted ATR42 (EI-CBK) on the evening Shannon flight.

MAN 13th February 2012 - Air Transat "white" tailed A330 C-GKTS

Having missed the "white" tailed Air Transat special a couple of times before I decided to go up even though the weather was very poor.......you never know when it will be gone !!

Also caught the fairly rare Jet2 Holidays 757-200W G-LSAL departing 23 Left.

11th February 2012 - A run around the Midlands.

A day out in the sunshine in the Midlands yesterday whilst hoping to catch the Turkmenistan B717 at Birmingham, sadly this didn't turn up but one or two good aircraft were seen and photographed.

First stop was Birmingham early morning where the only only interesting movement was the Star Alliance 737-800 of Austrian (OE-LNT) and a Ruby Star An12 (EW-275TI) was parked up on the Elmdon side.

Next stop was Coventry where a nice variety of aircraft are stored or preserved, the far side of the field has a line up of stored ATP's which included G-MANC and G-OBWP of First Flight of India, G-BTPL of Magic Bird of Greece and G-JEMC of Emerald Airways.

Final call of the day was a quick stop East Midlands for the new DHL A300-600F D-AEAG and nicely timed to catch Bulgaria Air A320 LZ-FBD (operating for Balkan Holidays) and the newest BMI Baby tail "Surfs up Baby" on G-TOYD.

MAN 8th February 2012 - A nice trio late evening.....

A cold night saw Qatar Government C17 'MAB' departing,

Czech Holidays 737-400 OK-WGY operate for Air France (the first visit to MAN of one of their 737's)

and Thomson's newest fleet addition, 737-800 G-TAWB parked up having been delivered yesterday morning.



MAN 8th February 2012 - Monarch Airlines "New" colours seen in service.

Having been rolled out of Air Livery at Manchester on the 7th February, G-MRJK was seen in service today for the first time since being painted in the new Monarch Airlines scheme......(unfortunately landing in a dull spell)......

..........and was seen parked up overnight.......

..........Whilst sister ship G-OZBK was also parked up overnight..........

.....having had its new colours altered from the purple scheme that it was rolled out in the previous week, Seen in these shots here.



MAN 8th February 2012 - Myjet Citation Mustang I-STCA and Volga IL76 RA-76952 depart.

Departing mid afternoon was this smart looking Mustang wearing Myjet titles.......

Whilst departing at sunset (finally) was the Volga Dnepr IL76, RA-76952.



MAN 7th February 2012 - Royal Air Force Tristar ZE704.

Arriving on a Medevac flight on a very cold morning ..........



MAN 6th February 2012 - Volga Dnepr IL76 RA-76952 makes its first visit.

Arriving mid afternoon to collect a freight shipment, this was the third different Volga Dnepr IL76TD-90 to visit Manchester,seen here on short finals for landing ........

 

The aircraft remained parked up overnight.

MAN 3rd February 2012 - Condor 757-300 D-ABOB makes test flight after extended hangar visit.

Condor 757-300 D-ABOB made a test flight today after its hangar check at Thomas Cook.


"White tailed" Norwegian 737-800 LN-NOY makes its first visit,

And Monarch Airlines A320 G-OZBK arrived back from the morning Gibraltar service early afternoon in their new scheme.

Arriving just before 4am, operating a cargo charter and departing an hour later......
