MAN 20th February 2022 - Qatar Airways "Retro" B777-300 A7-BAC

Qatar Airways have painted B777-300 A7-BAC in a very smart "Retro" scheme to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Having only left the paint shop five days ago it was great to see it operate the Manchester flight so soon, sadly the weather for the visit was absolutely awful with heavy rain and strong winds!

Birmingham (BHX) 11th February 2022 - GeoSky B747-200F 4L-GEO

Another run down to BHX today (2nd in a week!) for yet another B747, this time for a far rarer -200 series in the shape of GeoSky (Georgia) freighter 4L-GEO on yet another PPE Charter from China!

Luckily this time the weather played ball and the ex British Airways aircraft landed early afternoon and taxied past us to park by the MSCP.

Nice to catch a photo of one of the RVL Saab 340s with G-RVVE parked up just beneath the car park!

MAN 11th February 2022 - Icelandair B737-MAX8 TF-ICY

Two days in a row and two different Icelandair B737-MAX8s in new colours .... TF-ICY seen here approaching 23R but sadly I wasn't as lucky with the skies today!

MAN 10th February 2022 - Icelandair B737-MAX8 TF-ICE

My first chance to photograph Icelandair's new colour scheme with the arrival of B737-MAX8 TF-ICE, the sun had disappeared but luckily very dark skies in the background made for a decent shot as it was on short final for 23R.

Liverpool (LPL) 3rd February 2022 - Nordwind A330 VP-BUJ

The chance of catching another aircraft operating PPE Charters saw us over at Liverpool on the afternoon of the 3rd February, this was for Nordwind A330 VP-BUJ which still wears a hybrid scheme based on the previous operator, Jet Airways of India.

Sadly the sun had disapeared by the time the plane taxied for departure mid afternoon.

Birminhgam (BHX) 3rd February 2022 - National Airlines B747-400 N936CA

The oportunity to catch the 30th Anniversary coloured National Airlines B747-400 N936CA operating a PPE Charter 75 miles down the road in BHX was not to be missed, luckily it coincided with my days off too!

A little time was spent on the MSCP awaiting its arrival so a couple of other movements were caught, Redwings also operated a PPE Charter from China with B777-200 VP-BSJ and is seen departing mid morning.

Flight Service A330 9H-BFS was parked up by the hangars.

Both C208 D-FALK and PC12 D-FWIT were on small package freight flights

National Airlines B747-400 Freighter N936CA landed just after 11am, the jet still wears the basic red scheme from its days as a fire fighting tanker aircraft but has the logos and titles in gold along with special 30th markings.
