With such a rare visitor overnighting at Birmingham Airport whilst en-route back to the USA we made a quick run down to see the Samaritans Purse DC8 N782SP,

 

 

A nice bonus of West Atlantic's B737-300 Freighter G-JMCL being parked in a good spot!



MAN 28th October 2019 - Etihad B787-9 A6-BND

Another chance to try and catch a shot of the Etihad B787-9 A6-BND in Manchester City colours, sadly the sun had different ideas ..... whilst it flew all the way down the approach in the sunshine the cloud blocked it out just as it got level with me!!

At least this shot will do until another opportunity arises!!

Departing back to Abu Dhabi late evening on its first day in operation, Etihad Airways B787-9 wears this great looking special scheme for its partnership with Manchester City Football Club.

Making its first visit in this awesome new special scheme, United Airlines B757-200 N14102 was a type change from the usual B767 aircraft.

Etihad B787-9 A6-BLJ arriving early afternoon wearing its new "Thailand" special scheme, shame the weather couldn't have been as bright!

Taxiing to stand in the sunshine, Turkish Airlines A321 TC-JTR was making its first visit in this new "Tek Festival" scheme.

Virgin Atlantic's B747-400 G-VLIP departs a very grey and miserable Manchester wearing its superb "Millennium Falcon / Star Wars" scheme.

Making its first daylight visit to Manchester, Nile Air A320 SU-BQM was operating repatriation flights for failed Thomas Cook Airlines, the aircraft wears a special scheme showcasing Egyptian landmarks.

 

 

MAN 1st September 2019 - El Al B737-800 4X-EKO

Adding a little colour to the morning, El Al's Tel Aviv flight was operated by B737-800 4X-EKO wearing the scheme of their former sister airline UP, seen here taxiing round to stand.

A nice treat for the locals, Ethiopian Airlines delivered their latest Dash8-Q400 ET-AXF via Manchester on this sunny morning instead of their usual stopover of Stansted.

Nice to finally get the chance of photographing the weekly Fly Ernest A320 flight in the sunshine on this day, EI-GCC operating and seen on approach to 23 Right.

It took me a while but I finally got around to catching an Ethiopian Airlines B787-9 this morning as ET-AUO arrived from Brussels, usually the visits of the longer version of the Dreamliner only seemed to happen either when I was at work or when the weather was poor!

Making its first visit to Manchester in the evening sunshine, Vueling A320 Neo EC-NAJ wears a special "We Love Places" scheme designed by children.

Operating in place of the usual B757-200 for a couple of the weekly flights this summer, Air Iceland Connect Dash8-Q400 TF-FXB is seen departing 23L in the early afternoon.

Making another visit to Manchester on this sunny morning, Atlas Air B747-400 N322SG was arriving to take Liverpool FC out on their pre-season tour. This was the first time the aircraft has visited in the standard Atlas Air colours having previously worn the gold scheme.

Ethiopian Airlines used B787-8 ET-ATG on its service today, this aircraft wears the Star Alliance scheme and seen about to push back off T2 in the evening.

Making its first visit to MAN since having its special titles applied, Lufthansa A320 D-AIZG arrived mid morning wearing the slogan "Say Yes To Europe".

MAN 6th July 2019 - Bulgaria Air Charter MD82 LZ-LDP

Bulgarian Air Charter MD82 LZ-LDP made its first visit to Manchester this evening operating a sub charter for BH Air, it is seen here departing in the late evening sunshine.

Making its first visit to MAN and arriving in the evening from the USA, Crystal Luxury Air's executive B777-200 P4-XTL night stopped before departing direct to Perth Australia with Manchester United on board for their pre-season tour.

Making a very welcome return to Manchester after a gap of many many years, this evening saw Canadian Armed Forces A310 15003 which now wears a "Retro" colour scheme.

having just been repainted by Air Livery, ex Vietnam Airlines A330 2-RLAX departed this morning in the colours of Bamboo Airways, this being the first widebody aircraft for the Vietnamese airline.

Typically the usual Manchester weather was here to see it off!

 



MAN 28th June 2019 - United Airlines "Star Alliance" B767-400 N76055

United Airlines have changed to B767-400's for a few summer months on their New York Newark service, today saw N76055 operate wearing Star Alliance colours.

Albastar have a B737-800 based at MAN for the time being operating for TUI due to the 737MAX issues, this morning EC-MUB was seen departing from 05L in the sunshine.

 



MAN 27th June 2019 - Express Air Cargo B737-300F TS-ICA

It's very rare that we see ad hoc cargo movements at MAN these days so that made it even more special when Tunisian airline Express Air Cargo operated a car parts charter on the morning of the 27th June using B737-300 Freighter TS-ICA, this was supposed to be the first of three flights but the remaining two operated to Liverpool instead.

Having used their Embraer E175 recently in their new scheme, today was the turn of the E195 to be caught by the camera, EW-513PO arriving in the morning sun!
