East Midlands - 30th June 2020

Having still not managed to catch any decent shots of the Cargologic B737 Freighters I noted that there were two due to operate during the early hours each day this week, sadly the weather wasn't due to be the best but I thought I would take a chance......

I arrived down at EMA before sunrise, not that there was any sun to rise that morning!
The following were taken over the next couple of hours.

Cargologic B737-400F D-ACLW wears the all blue ATRAN livery, pushing back at 05.00 and departing very soon afterwards.

Bluebird Cargo B737-400F TF-BBL followed shortly after,

with ASL Airlines B737-400F EI-HAA just behind it,

It was nice to get a better chance at a Star Air B767-300F when OY-SRV departed,

West Atlantic's DHL liveried B737-400F G-JMCR departed,

followed by Cargologic's B737-400F D-ACLO which wears a different (and more colourful) scheme from ACLW.

ASL Airlines' B757-200F OE-LFB departed to Belfast just after 06.00,

and just over 45 minutes later company ATR72 EI-SOA arrived from Belfast.

Last target of the morning and departing almost an hour late was my first catch of a West Atlantic aircraft in their own full colour scheme, B737-400 G-JMCK departing down to Jersey.

Another enjoyable run out albeit disappointing that the weather was so dull and cool after so much sun lately but at least I added a few new subjects to the camera's memory cards along with a trio of new numbers in the log book.

Heathrow 28th June 2020

After what seems to have been a long time since my last visit down south to London Heathrow I was tempted for an early morning run down to catch a very unusual visitor,
I set off in the very early hours arriving near the 27 Left Approach shortly before 6am, I only had to wait a few minutes for my main target!

Arriving just after 6am was Nigeria's Air Peace B777-300 5N-BWI operating a charter,
Luckily the sun was shining for me!

Another hour or so in that location saw a few more interesting subjects pass by,

Air Canada's C-GFAF was my first sighting of one of their A330's in the latest scheme.

United Airlines B787-10 N13013 wears their new scheme,

and my first British Airways A350-1000 as G-XWBF arrived as the cloud started to roll in!

I made my over to another spot as the sunlight was starting move around,
My first chance to catch a photo of an Aer Lingus A321LR with EI-LRA

My first acceptable shot of a Virgin Atlantic A350-1000 as G-VPRD arrived,

Sadly the sun went in to hiding as my first Air China A350-900 arrived!

Cargojet B767-300 Freighter C-GYAJ caught some sun!

Alitalia A321 EI-IXH wears the newer scheme,

My first Turkish B787-9 Dreamliner as TC-LLD arrived in a sunny patch against dark skies!

British Airways took delivery of their first B787-10 as G-ZBLA arrived just before noon, sadly the sun avoided this one!

A6-EQO, my last required Emirates B777-300 arrived at lunchtime, great to have finally fleeted those!

With very little else of interest due I decided to make my way back home via a couple of storage areas for some required frames, short stops at both Lasham and Kemble were rewarding with a couple of 727 frames along with a 737-200 and 717 hitting the book!

A very enjoyable day out with some nice new additions to the photo library along with 42 new numbers in the log book!
