Doncaster 6th June 2020 - Sunday Airlines B767-300 UP-B6703

An afternoon run over to Doncaster for Sunday Airlines (Kazakhstan) B767-300 UP-B6703, a rather rare machine in Europe!

Arrival on runway 02 sadly dodged the sun as it was side on .....

The biggest stitch up was the fact that it was around ninety minutes late departing and having been on the ground for three and a half hours, most of which was in sunshine, the aircraft pushed back and departed just minutes after the sun had gone in for good!!

Doncaster 2nd June 2020 - Nordwind B777-300 VP-BJP

Another visit to Doncaster for yet another Russian B777-300, 

I arrived in time to catch the Astral Airlines B747-400 Freighter TF-AMM arriving on runway 02

Royal Air Force C17 ZZ176 was carrying out some approaches during my stay.

After a delay the Nordwind B777-300 VP-BJP finally arrived around 2pm, sadly this is the worst time of the day for the light as it is directly down the runway! So typical!

Doncaster 30th May 2020 - Royal Flight B777-300 VQ-BGL

Another run over to Doncaster early morning to catch yet another "PPE Flight", this time it was Russian airline Royal Flight with B777-300 VQ-BGL arriving on runway 20 shortly after sunrise.

After a couple of hours the aircraft taxied out and departed on runway 02

A bonus catch of the regular Magma Airlines B747-400 Freighter TF-AMM arriving and departing during my stay along with the fairly bland looking Air Atlanta B747-400 TF-AAL

Doncaster 29th May 2020 - Kam Air B767-300 UR-CSX

Having been let down by the sun on my attempt a few days previously I made another visit to Doncaster today for the Kam Air coloured B767-300 UR-CSX, this time I was in luck as the aircraft taxied out for departure off runway 02 in the late afternoon with blue skies and sunshine!

Doncaster 26th May 2020

A visit to Doncaster airport on a sunny afternoon to catch a rarity on yet another "Cargo / PPE flight" saw me arrive in time for the departure of two Chinese Global Expresses,

B-602V departed first

With B-605D just behind.

The star movement arrived just after 5pm,

Ukrainian Wings B767-300 UR-CSX which wears the full scheme of Kam Air of Afghanistan!

Sadly, as is often the case, the sun decided to duck behind the cloud at the crucial moment despite having shone on me for the whole of my visit!!

East Midlands 20th May 2020

An trip out in the sunshine at East Midlands saw a few new subjects for me with some nice freighters passing my camera, 

The following were the highlights.

ATR42 G-HUET had been repainted ready for its transfer to Loganair,

the crew ferry for its pilots was Dornier 228 G-OAUR.

Sadly Cargologic B737-400F D-ACLG arrives early in the day and night stops until around 05.00, parked up on the northside it isn't in a suitable position for photos.

Amerijet are currently operating a Cincinnati service for DHL, tonight saw B767-300F N316CM 

Aerologic B777-200F D-AALM wears DHL colours and an extra logo for 007 / James Bond.

It was great to catch a full colours FedEx B737-400F, OE-IAT was operating the Belfast flight.

Bluebird Nordic are currently operating the nightly Icelandair Cargo service from Keflavik, 

B737-400F TF-BBL is the regular on this service.

ABX Air are also currently operating a regular flight for DHL, B767-300F N219CY departed over an hour late this evening, sadly after the sun had set.

A nice relaxing afternoon out in the fresh air and sunshine, 

a fairly decent 12 new numbers logged too.

MAN 19th May 2020 - Saudi Arabian B787-10 HZ-AR27

A first visit to Manchester from a Saudi Arabian B787-10 saw HZ-AR27 arrive in the early afternoon sunshine, nice to finally have something of interest to be able to point a camera at!!

US West Coast Holiday

Having visited Florida and the Eastern US many times before we finally decided to head out West and booked a multi city holiday visiting San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Phoenix and Las Vegas!

It was a "family holiday" but of course with so many new airports and aircraft storage areas along the route a little bit of spotting came in to it!!
