Glasgow 3rd November 2021 - COP26 Trip

Back over at Glasgow just after 2pm to try and catch a few of their afternoon movements, we got lucky with a trio of Boeing 737s

Turkmenistan B737-700 EZ-A007 was parked up quite nicely to get a shot,

Global Express 6000 T7-SSB was parked adjacent to the Turkmenistan.

Royal Jet B737-700BBJ A6-AIN taxied to the ramp.

US Air Force B737-700BBJ (C-40B) 01-0040 landed and taxied to the terminal.

Final shot of the afternoon, Easyjet A321 Neo G-UZMJ arrived from Bristol, nice to see one of these as they are very rare at my local.

With nothing else due we retired for the evening, another good day with some very nice movements to photograph and another seventeen new numbers in the book.

Prestwick 3rd November 2021 - COP26 Trip

 Up very early, we were back on the mound at Prestwick at first light as the majority of the other visitors were due to depart today.

First movement was the regular Air France Cargo B777-200 Freighter F-GUOC departing.

US Air Force C17 01-0192 landed and taxied on to the southern ramp.

State of Kuwait B737-900 BBJ3 9K-GCC arrived from Birmingham and taxied to the northern ramp.

Royal Air Force Bae.146 ZE701 taxied out and departed.

US Air Force C17 01-0197 arrived.

Today's highlight at Prestwick, the departure of Columbian Air Force B767-200 FAC-1202.

Vietnam Airline B787-9 VN-A868 departed 

Cargolux B747-800 LX-VCH arrived on one of their regular services.

State of Kuwait B737-900 BBJ3 departed early afternoon.

US Air Force C17 01-0192 taxied for departure as sister ship 03-3113 arrived.

After a short delay, Ecuador Air Force Falcon 7X FAE-052 finally taxied for departure, the sunshine was very hit and miss by then but we managed to get lucky!!

With nothing else of interest due to move we made a quick run back over to Glasgow to catch their movements.

Prestwick 2nd November 2021 - COP26 Trip

We arrived at Prestwick just after 2pm, just in time to catch the Abu Dhabi Amiri Flight B787-9 A6-PFG taxiing to the ramp after landing, very lucky timing!

Japan Self Defence Force's second B777-300 80-1111 was parked up on the north side ramp,

How nice to get both in the sunshine on the same day!

Honduras Air Force Emb.135 Legacy 600 FAH-001 was parked on the north ramp.

Aerolineas Argentinas A330 LV-GHQ arrived from its parking stay at Manchester.

Swedish Air Force Gulfstream G550 102005 departed mid afternoon.

Republic of Croatia Challenger CL604 9A-CRO departed at dusk. 

The final movement caught before we retired for the evening was Phenom D-CHIC departing after dark.

We had accommodation nearby so retired early after a very long but successful day, thirty six new numbers in the book along with some great photos of some very rare airliners and bizjets.

Glasgow 2nd November 2021 - COP26 Trip

 A three day trip up to Glasgow and Prestwick was made to try and catch some of the visiting aircraft for the COP26 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

We left home in the very early hours of Tuesday 2nd arriving at Glasgow Airport before dawn, The following were taken over the next six hours or so ..

A big highlight for me 

Egyptian Government A340-200 SU-GGG arriving on the short hop from Prestwick. I had previously seen this in Beijing back in 2018 but was unable to get a clean photograph.

A lovely bonus in some great light, British Airways' A320 Neo G-TTNA wearing their "Better World" scheme.

Japan Force One, B777-300 80-1112 on short final from Tokyo.

Bahrain Government Gulfstream G650 A9C-BAH 

Belgian Air Force Falcon 7X OO-LUM

Second big highlight for me, Korean Air Force B747-400 10001 (aka HL7465) arriving from Gatwick, especially good to catch this great looking Jumbo as it was due to be retired very shortly after the event.

Bolivian Air Force Falcon 900 FAB-001 arriving on its positioning flight from Prestwick.

Mauritania Airlines B737-MAX8 5T-CLJ also ferrying over from Prestwick early afternoon.

With only a few other bits due we decided to forgo them and get ourselves over to Prestwick to catch the movements there in the remaining daylight.
